  • Use consistent and contrasting colours

Obviously, your client will want their POS to stand out but too many bright colours can look busy and turn people off. Some clients will want their brand colours but if these don’t suit your advertising you can suggest variations or different colours as long as they’re consistent over all of the marketing.

  • Bold is best

POS advertising is by its nature located in areas where there’s a lot going on. Other marketing, products and obstructions like shelving or even people, mean your POS is constantly fighting for attention. As with outdoor advertising, it’s best to keep the message clear and simple. Bold fonts work well on POS. Again, they might not be in keeping with your client’s brand guidelines, but if none of their corporate fonts work, advise on some that do.
